2.2 If you want to play the audio-visual equipment plugged in the auxiliary socket (B) of the switch (except for
Canal+), proceed as described above. The frontal AUX2 red indicator (4) will turn on.
Indicator (8) will also turn on, meaning it is possible to record the output of that equipment. Refer to the
«Recording» section.
2.3 To see Canal+, with the decoder and video recorder unit plugged into the auxiliary socket (C) of the
switch, tune your TV set to the Canal+ channel. The frontal AUX3 red light indicator (5) will turn on.
2.4 To watch a videotape, when the VCR is plugged in the auxiliary socket (C) of the switch, press the VCR
«playback» button. The frontal AUX3 red light indicator (5) will turn on.
IMPORTANT: In all those cases with display on the TV set, only the equipment that you want to play must be
on; all the other appliances must be off or inactive.
3. RECORDING WITH A CANAL+ COMPATIBLE VIDEO
Configuration with Canal+ decoder and VCR plugged in the auxiliary socket (C) of the switch; VCR 100%
compatible with Canal+.
3.1 In order to record from the audio-visual equipment plugged in the auxiliary socket (A) of the switch, turn
on the equipment and set the VCR to position AUX or EXT and in the «Record» mode.
The red light indicators (3) and (7) will turn on.
During this process, it is possible to have the following displayed on the TV set:
any TV programme (except for Canal+), normal operation of your television;
the output of the audio-visual equipment plugged in the auxiliary socket (A) (i.e. what is being recorded),
provided the TV is set to position AV or channel 0.
3.2 If you want to record the output of the audio-visual equipment plugged in the auxiliary socket (B) of the
switch, proceed as described in point 3.1. The red light indicators (4) and (8) will turn on.
While recording, you can display the output of the audio-visual equipment plugged in the auxiliary socket
(B) of the switch (i.e. watch on your TV set what is being recorded). To do so, set your TV to position AV or
channel 0.
3.3 To record any TV broadcast (except Canal+), tune the VCR to the desired channel and put it in the
«Record» mode.
During this process, it is possible to have the following displayed on the TV set:
all the TV programmes, normal operation of your television;
the output of the audio-visual equipment plugged in the auxiliary socket (A) of the switch, provided your
TV is set to position A or channel 0;
the output of the audio-visual equipment plugged in the auxiliary socket (B) of the switch, provided your TV
is set to position A or channel 0.
3.4 Recording of Canal+
Set the VCR to Canal+ and in the «Record» mode. Indicador (6) will turn on.
While recording, you can watch the following on your TV set:
Canal+ (i.e. what you are recording); to do so, set the TV to position A or channel 0 (do not tune it to Canal+);
