StoneLux Pyrosil
Bonding System
Introduction
StoneLux Pyrosil bonding system
consists of a special flammable gas
mixture. StoneLux Pyrosil is used for
the surface treatment of marble and
polishable limestone in preparation for
bonding. After the pyrolytic treatment,
the surfaces have to be coated with
StoneLux Primer to achieve the neces-
sary bonding strength between the sub-
sequent StoneLux layer and the natural
stone substrate.

Initial filling/refilling of the
StoneLux Pyrosil torch.
The Pyrosil torch is shipped uncharged
and requires filling prior to initial use.
Proceed as follows to fill/refill the
Ignitor
torch:
Important: Always remove the safety
cover prior to charging the torch.
The gas regulator must be closed
(turn clockwise) to prevent escape of
gas whilst filling. Observe the safety
instructions.
Align the nozzle of the cartridge ver-
tically with the base refill valve and
then push the cartridge firmly into the
cylinder (cartridge atop the torch). The
gas mixture flows into the torch. Apply
for about 30 seconds to provide a
maximum fill.
When the torch is exhausted of gas, it
can be refilled with the StoneLux gas
cartridge.
Preparing the StoneLux torch
for use
Step 1
Remove the safety cover.
Step 2
Set the gas regulator to OPEN until gas
flow is audible.
Step 3
Press the ignator button at the
opposite end of the torch.
Step 4
Adjust the size of the flame with the
gas regulator as necessary.
Step 5
Adjust the shape of the flame by
means of the oxygen regulator to
achieve a pale blue to violet flame.
Step 6
To stop or interrupt the gas supply,
turn back the gas regulator
(turn clockwise).
