2.2 Preparing for Use

Connect optical sensor to console ：
See the diagram below for reverse installing your optical sensor.
Please power off the spectrometer before removing optical
sensor from the console then turn around before inserting in
the console. Power may be restarted after the optical sensor is
fully installed.

Use the Type-C USB cable for remote measurement as shown
in the diagram below. Power off the spectrometer before
connecting the USB cable. Power it on again afterwards.

Optical sensor and console are paired before shipment to you. DO

NOT use either of the two with any other LI-180 Spectrometer. If
you have more than one LI-180 Spectrometer, DO NOT swap optical
sensor between instruments.

Precautions on optical sensor installation
Make sure the optical sensor latch is well connected to console.
Dark calibration
1 Once the spectrometer is powered on and the power key
light is green, the screen will prompt you with a message
for dark calibration.
2 The "Do dark calibration" dialog box displays, click OK to
proceed.
3 Click OK once the cover is replaced.
Status bar shows the progress of the dark
calibration.
Once the message "Dark calibration finished" appears,
click "OK" and you will be returned to the main menu.
Press and hold power key for 1 second to power on the spectrometer.

Press and hold power key for 3 seconds to power it off.

Run dark calibration after each power on of this product.
