3. Twist Off the Protective Disk
Hold the lancet firmly with one hand; use your other hand to twist off the
protective disk.
Note: To avoid contamination, please dispose the used protective disk in a
puncture-resistant container.
4. Replace Lancing Device Cap
Replace the cap until it snaps into place. Be careful not to touch the
exposed needle on the lancet.
Use the cap on the lancing device for finger tests. Use the clear cap for
forearm, upper arm, hand, thigh and calf test sites.
5. Set the Lancing Level
The lancing device has five different depth settings. Level 1 is the
shallowest depth; Level 5 is the deepest depth. Twist cap to the
desired setting as shown in the depth indicator window.
Lancing Depth Guide:
1 for soft/thin skin
2-3 for average skin
4-5 for thick/calloused skin
6. Load the Handle
Twist the head according to the arrow direction until it
clicks and you can no longer twist. (You may have already
loaded the handle in Step 2)
You are now ready to perform a blood glucose test.
Select Your Preferred Test Site
Warning: If you are testing for hypoglycaemia (low blood glucose) or if you suffer from
hypoglycaemia unawareness, we recommend that you test on your fingers.
For Finger Lancing
a. Set the depth setting on the Lancing Device to Level 1
b. Lightly touch the Lancing Device (with the cap) against the side of your fingertip. (For best
