House light with motion detector LLB
Please read these instructions carefully and
keep for future reference. By purchasing this
item, you have chosen a high-quality GEV
product. Please read these operating instruc-
tions carefully to ensure correct operation.

you can refer back to them if necessary.
How it works
The motion detector works based on passive
infrared technology. Via a PIR sensor, the detector
notices any heat sources moving within its fi eld
of detection and switches on automatically.
Static heat sources do not trigger it. The adjustable
twilight switch lets you choose whether you have
the motion detector working day and night or only
when it is dark. The integrated timer also lets you
adjust how long the light stays on.
Safety information
To be fi tted by qualifi ed electricians only,
observing
all
standard
national
installation regulations.
No work to be carried out while live. Circuit trip
switch must therefore be switched off .
Check to make sure the connecting cable is
not live!
All warranty claims will be null and void in the
event of any damage or loss caused by failure
to observe these operating instructions. We
accept no liability for any consequential losses or
damage. We accept no liability for any personal
injury or material damage caused by improper
use or by failure to observe the safety advice. In
such cases all warranty claims will be null and
void.
For reasons of safety and approval, no
unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of
the appliance is allowed.
Where to install
The light is best at detecting movement
when it is positioned at right angles to the
motion
detector.
Motion
detectors
should
therefore always be set up so that likely
movement is not directly towards them.
Installation
Secure the light as shown in fi g. A - H. Please
note fi g. B if surface mounting the cable. A
corner base (accessory) allows mounting to an
internal
or
external
corner
(fi g.
C).
attachment can be used to facilitate connection
(fi g. E). Connect the mains connection cable as
shown in the circuit diagram fi g. F. An additional
load can be connected using PE + N + L1.
Switch the mains power supply back on.
Test mode/Motion test
Test mode/test run allows you to individually set
the desired fi eld of detection.
Set the TIME controller to minimum and LUX to
sun (fi g. I). If the house light is connected via a
separate switch, switch it on. The auto test then
runs for 60 seconds during which time the
connected load is always activated. When the
load switches off , the test run starts. The load
now switches on for approx. 5 secs. whenever
motion is detected, regardless of the current ligh-
ting levels. This time is reset each time motion
is detected. The motion detector can be
horizontally and vertically adjusted (fi g. J). The
lens covers can be cut to allow you to mask
certain areas (fi g. K). Once the motion detector
has been adjusted, further settings can be made.
Settings (fi g. I)
LUX Twilight switch, c. 5 - 1000 Lux
TIME Setting for how long the light stays on,
approx. 5 secs. to 5 mins.
