If after installing your new cam & packing your faucet still leaks
from under the handle:
SHUT OFF WATER SUPPLIES. Remove cap to ensure that the O-ring
has remained in its groove during installation. Remove cam & seal
assembly and reinstall, making sure that cam remains perpendicular
to faucet valve and O-ring compresses uniformly during installation.
Silicone lubrication approved for potable water can sometime aid in
installation where surface roughness of valve will not allow O-ring to
slide into place easily. DO NOT use any petroleum based lubricants on
the cam & lip seal.
