3 Operating Instructions
1.
Check the transport lugs and the required
accessories for visible damage such as signs of
wear, deformation, breakages, cracks and
corrosion damages prior to each use. Check all
threads for damages. Do no use the transport lugs
and the screws when defects are noted and
discard them immediately.
2.
Carry out the necessary preparation work for the
use of the transport lugs in accordance with the
workshop manuals.
3.
Screw the transport lugs T10126 with screws
M8 x 22, 8.8 and a torque of 20 Nm to the engine
as described in the workshop manual.
WARNING
Danger through tilting or falling of the load!
Incorrect screwing of the transport lugs to the load may
cause a tilting or falling of the load! This can cause
serious injuries and damage to materials.
Attach the transport lugs exactly as described in the
workshop manuals.
Use the prescribed screws M8 x 22, 8.8.
Observe the torque of 20 Nm.
4.
Carry out further work as described in the
workshop manuals.
5.
Ensure that all parts of the special tool have been
removed after completing the repair work.

4 Inspection and Maintenance

transport lugs when defects are noted and discard them
immediately.
