Addressing
An unambiguous identification number (device number) is as-
signed to every measuring device ex-works. This ID is trans-
mitted from the measuring device, via the add-on module, to
the M-Bus system as a secondary address.
The scanning of the measuring device data is implemented in
the normal case over the secondary address.
If required, the primary address of the add-on module
can be changed over the M-Bus interface. It is further
possible to scan the instantaneous status variables through
application selection in addition:
• 13 monthly values (heat or refrigeration)
• Flow-through
• Power
Transfer of the refrigeration quantity
Provided that the option "refrigeration energy measurement" is
released with the heat metering system, as well as the data of
the heat energy measurement, the heat metering system also
transmits the data of the refrigeration energy measurement.
For this, a second measuring device with an identification num-
ber calculated from the parameter FabNo of the heat metering
system + 1 is applied for the refrigeration energy measurement in
the M-Bus system. The medium "Refrigeration" is assigned to
the device in the data record.

The ERROR output is set with the following conditions:
1. If the add-on module is not attached on an arithmetic logic unit.
2. The arithmetic logic unit outputs its own ERROR signal.
This signal can be read off on the LCD display of the
arithmetic logic unit.
