TIPS:
Fill pot with uncooked rice after washing. Fill with water to overlap the layer of rice by ½" to 1", this will result in "perfectly"
cooked rice.
Brown rice or grain rice will need ½ cup more water compared to regular white rice.
When cooking brown rice, periodically lift the lid to stir the rice along the bottom of the pot to prevent sticking.
HOW TO USE YOUR STEAMER
1.
Clean and prepare your food or vegetables.
2.
Place the INNER POT in the rice cooker. The length of steaming time is subject to your own personal tastes: depending if you
prefer al denté (crunchy) or well done steamed vegetables.
3.
Measure appropriate amount of water and add to INNER POT.
4.
NOTE: You are able to steam rice and vegetables/food at the same time with the STEAMING BASKET resting on the INNER
POT.
5.
Place the STEAMING BASKET on the rim of the inner pot.
6.
Add vegetables or food and put the LID onto the appliance. Switch to COOK position for the appropriate time as shown in the
chart.
7.
Please unplug this appliance after use.
HOW TO STEW
:
Stewing in the rice cooker is quite similar to stewing in a slow cooker. Simply combine all the ingredients for your stew and place into the
inner pot. Make sure when stewing that the water capacity should not be more than 70% of the volume of the inner pot.
Simply follow the instructions for cooking rice to stew with your rice cooker

Care and Cleaning

This appliance should be cleaned after every use.
1.
Unplug the rice cooker when not in use and before cleaning. Never immerse HEATING UNIT, cord or plug in water or any
other liquids. Allow the rice cooker to cool completely before cleaning.
NOTE: Use the included spatula or wooden utensil to stir and remove food from the INNER POT. DO NOT use any metal
utensils.
2.
To clean the HEATING UNIT, lightly wipe the exterior with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
3.
The INNER POT is coated with a non-stick coating to make clean up easier. To clean, remove the INNER POT from the rice
cooker and fill with hot water from the tap. Let it sit for a while and then wash with hot soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
4.
The "rice cooker" measuring cup, spatula and Lid can be washed in warm, soapy water. They are not dishwasher safe.
5.
Make sure that the grains of rice do not stick to the heating plate in the bottom of the heating unit. If this occurs, remove
immediately. If grains of rice are stuck onto the heating plate, a non-abrasive pad can be used to remove it. Polish the area for
good contact between the heating plate and the bottom of the INNER POT.
6.
NOTE: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads or steel wool to clean the rice cooker.
7.
Do not use bleach, vinegar or other harsh chemicals to clean the rice cooker.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE UNIT IN WATER.
