These instructions are intended for users without any
specific technical knowledge. Please read these instruc-
tions carefully prior to operation and keep them for later
reference.
1 Applications
This power supply unit is used for direct current supply of small
units with an operating voltage between 3.0 V and 12.0 V and
a maximum current consumption of:
PSS-600E 0.6 A
PSS-1000E 1.0 A
PSS-1500E 1.5 A
The output voltage is adjustable to 3.0 V, 4.5 V, 5.0 V, 6.0 V, 7.5 V,
9.0 V or 12.0 V. The unit is protected against short circuit, over-
load and overheating. The special feature of the power supply
unit is its extra low current consumption (< 0.10 W) when the
unit connected has been switched off.

3) Determine the position of the positive and negative poles at
the power supply jack of the unit to be connected (
ing of the jack) and connect the adapter to the inline jack (1)
accordingly.
With this marking or a similar marking of the power
supply jack, the positive pole must be at the tip or at the
inner contact of the adapter: Connect the adapter to the
inline jack in such a way that the arrow of the inline jack
will point to the number / numbers of the adapter (fig.
With this marking, the negative pole must be at
the tip or at the inner contact of the adapter: Connect the
adapter to the inline jack in such a way that the arrow of the
inline jack will point to the identification letter (fig.
4) Use the correct adapter to connect the power supply unit
to the unit to be supplied with power; then connect it to
a mains socket (100 – 240 V, 50 / 60 Hz). The red power LED
will light up.
