Description
Left Hand Splash Guard

M4.2 x 20 Screw w/ Washer
M4.2 U-nut

Rear Installation Procedure
Note: Do not use power tools to install splash guard fasteners
1. Remove tire.
2. Clean and degrease body panel where splash guards are to be
located.
3. Using supplied alcohol wipes, clean area where tape makes
contact to body.
4. Measure and mark new hole location at (A) on stone protector.
Using a 13/64" (5.0mm) bit, drill hole at location (A).
See figure 1.
5. Remove existing screws at locations (B) and (C). Retain
fasteners. See figure 1.
6. Place splash guard to vehicle, make sure red tape pull tab is
accessible, then fold splash guard top living hinge to sandwich
splash guard to body side outer flange and install retained
fasteners at locations (B) and (C). Take care to eliminate gaps.
See figure 2.
7. While keeping living hinge folded and pinched around body side
outer, use a 13/64" (5.0mm) bit to drill through splash guard at
locations (D) and (E). Drill through splash guard and wheel liner.
See figure 3.
8. Install supplied rivets in newly drilled holes at (D) and (E).
Living hinge should firmly pinch to body side outer flange.
See figure 3.
9. Pull splash guard tab rearward and inward to align tab hole to
newly drilled hole at location (A) and remove gap to vehicle.
Install supplied M4.2 screw w/washer and supplied U-nut at
location (A). The U-nut should be used as a nut above the stone
protector and body side outer. See figure 4.
10. Remove tape liner and apply firm pressure to the splash guard
along the tape line to adhere the tape to the fender. Hold the
firm pressure for a minimum of 60 seconds to properly adhere
the tape. See figures 5.
11. Repeat for other side.
12. Guards can be cleaned with any commercially available cleaner.
NOTE: Max torque on M4.2 Screw is 3.0 N m
