1. Safety
Ensure that all belt straps are threaded correctly through their buckles to ensure that they do not
slide during a lifting operation, see page 21.
Ensure that all belts are suspended correctly from the lifting yoke before lifting commences. Do not
raise and lower the lift at the same time as rotating the person in and out of the car.
Ensure that hands, clothing and cables are not in the way of the lift's movement.
Place the manual control onto the top arm of the lift during use. You will then have both hands free
to help the person in and out of the car.
Avoid allowing electrical components to get wet when it is raining.
Ensure that the power cable and the cord for the manual control do not become pinched while the
lift is being used or stored. Damage to electrical components could mean that the lift stops working
and has to be repaired.

Always remove the harness and disassemble the lift before you commence your journey by car.
