These instructions must be read carefully before starting use. It is impera-
tive that QUICKLOCK is used correctly. Incorrect usage can be dangerous.
If there is a risk of falling, the instructions for utilisation must imperati-
vely be respected.
BEFORE EACH UTILISATION, VERIFY THAT:
The recommendations applicable to each piece of equipment used in conjunction with this apparatus are respected.
The QUICKLOCK is in perfect condition without any type of corrosion. The concrete support is in good condition
without any visible cracks.
The QUICKLOCK is in perfect operational condition without any wear or deformation.
The Quicklock can be used in concrete in various directions including ground level (fall factor 2). In situations where
the risk of edges occurs, make sure you use an appropriate connection material.
In there is any doubt, the QUICKLOCK must be taken out of service if it does not pass the safety control inspection
before use.
N.B.: a competent person, authorised by the head of the company, must control the equipment once per year. The
result of this control must be written in the safety register.
All of the arrangements needed for a possible emergency are operational!
NEVER.
Fix the QUICKLOCK on a concrete support which cannot withstand 23 MPa.
Modify the equipment in any way whatsoever.
Use the QUICKLOCK as a means of handling or lifting.
Use the QUICKLOCK as an anchor other than an individual anchor (lifeline).
Leave the QUICKLOCK in place permanently.
Work suspended on the QUICKLOCK.
Work without an anti-fall system if there is a risk of falling.
Use the QUICKLOCK on a support other than concrete.
THIS PRODUCT MUST BE:
Used by ONE PERSON ONLY provided with an anti-fall system in compliance with EN 355, EN 353/2, EN 360.
Used by trained personnel.
Used with self-locking connectors in compliance with the EN 362 standard.
Withdrawn after a fall.
Taken away after utilisation.
Fixed in a perfectly straight hole of the correct diameter.
The drilling must be carried out with an industrial drill.
Used only if the identification label is still in place on the equipment.
INSTALLATION
Select a solid concrete support with a minimum resistance of 23 Mpa.
Carry out, if necessary, a pulling trial on a test point in order to verify that the anchor support is adequate (5 kN for 5
seconds).
Using an industrial drill, with an appropriate bit for concrete, drill a hole that is perfectly straight and uniform, of dia.
16 to 18 mm and depth 90 mm.
YOUR SAFETY DEPENDS ON THE QUALITY OF THE DRILLING AND THE CONCRETE
The anchor point must not be at less than 155 mm from the edge of the concrete support.
The anchor point must not be at less than 188 mm from another anchor point. Introduce the QUICKLOCK into the
hole.
