1943 INSTALLATION - AUTOMATIC BILGE PUMP SYSTEM/
Mount the switch with screws to the bottom of the boat with the switch even with
or slightly higher than the pump. (You may wish to mount the switch and pump
on a piece of marine plywood and glue it to the hull using
waterproof adhesive.)
Do not exceed the
following angles:
Wire switches as shown using solder or crimp connections and seal completely
using a liquid rubber such as liquid electrical tape.
Attach wires to the clip on the end of the case leaving enough slack to permit the
float to operate freely. Wires MUST emanate upwards from the switch. Do not
let wires droop into the bilge water as this voids the warranty.
