The Midland M-285 antenna is a 3.4 dB dedicated Taxi antenna, can be mounted with a
cable or magnetic base.

Installation and assembly

1. The antenna should be mounted, preferably in the
middle of the car dome, at a Midland 120 / PL
magnetic base or directly on the body with cable and
mounting bracket separately purchased.
2. After connecting, lock the antenna with the
included key.
3. Connect the antenna to a VHF (taxi) station
and test the SWR in an open area using a
device called a reflector.
