7. Checking and adjusting the Multiline laser
1) Checking vertical errors of the upper and lower alignment points
• Set the Multiline laser to the upper and lower alignment points.
• Move the Multiline to a horizontal position.
• Release the transport lock and press the vertival switch.
• Mark "A1" at the ceiling point and "B" at the floor point.
• Turn the device 180° and set the device's floor alignment point to point
"B" on the floor. Mark "A2" at the ceiling point Check the difference
between the markings A1 and A2 after turning the device 180°.
• If the difference exceeds ±1 mm your Multiline laser might need to be
readjusted.
2) Checking the vertical laser beams
• Hang a lead plumb bob from a door frame or another high object
(e.g. ceiling or frame).
• Switch on 4 vertical lines and project one of them on the floor at point A
(see illustration), approx. 3 metres from the plumb line.
• Point another vertical laser beam exactly at the plumb line and check the
other three by turning the device accordingly.
