TROUBLESHOOTING

Incorrect operations are often mistaken for trouble and malfunctions. If you think that there is something wrong with this
component, check the points below. Sometimes the trouble may lie in another component. Investigate the other components
and electrical appliances being used. If the trouble cannot be rectified even after exercising the checks listed below, ask your
dealer.
Symptom
No sound even when
• The input connectors are improperly connected.

• Sound volume is set too low.

been selected in the output settings menu.
Noise is heard even when

Possible cause
Remedy
• Check connections.
• Press the MUTE button on the main unit or the
remote control to disable the MUTE function.
• Adjust the sound volume properly.
• In the output settings menu, select the connectors
on the main unit connected to the power amplifier
(page 15).
• Confirm that no other digital appliance is
connected to the same power outlet.
• Turn power OFF at the MASTER device.
• Set auto power down function to OFF (page 14).
• Press the DISP button to cancel display OFF.
• Replace batteries with new ones.
• Be sure to operate within 7 m and a 30° angle of
the remote sensor on the front panel.
• Check that there are no obstacles between the
receiver and the remote control.
• Make sure that there is no fluorescent or other
strong light shining on to the remote sensor.
