– Ensure that the on/off switch 4 is set to 0.
– Removing: remove the Allen key 15 from the base of the charging station 2
to loosen the screw 16 of the cutter head 6.
– Image F: loosen the screw 16 completely and remove it.
– Press the cutter head 6 upwards with your thumb to remove it.
– Mounting: place the cutter head 6 on at the bottom and swing it upwards.
Press on the cutter head 6 until it clicks into place and screw it on tight.
Replacing the cutter head
The cutter head 6 is a wear part. Despite good care, the cutting performance will
decrease at some point. Replace the cutter head when this happens. The cutter
head can be ordered separately as a spare part from the customer service cen-
tre. The address and telephone number of your nearest customer service centre
can be found on the back of these user instructions.
Cleaning the appliance
– From time to time, wipe the appliance with a slightly moistened cloth, then rub
dry.
Cleaning the charge contacts
If the charge contacts 7 on the appliance or the charge contacts 1 on the charg-
ing station 2 are dirty, the charging may be interrupted or obstructed.
– Clean the charge contacts 7 with a piece of cotton wool or cloth dipped in
alcohol or methylated spirit.

Care of the battery
– Ensure that the appliance is not left on when putting it aside, if the battery is
empty.
– Ensure that the appliance is switched off (on/off switch is set to 0) when plac-
ing it in the charging station 2.

Service
Given the present state of the art, components of electrical appliances are sub-
ject to a certain degree of wear over time.
In order to ensure proper functioning and safety of the appliance, a regular check
must be performed in accordance with the country specific legal provisions -
though at least once every 2 years.
