Cleaning/Disinfection
WARNING
● Never use abrasive materials (such as steel wool or silver polish), or erosive cleaners (such as
acetone or acetone-based cleaners).
● When cleaning or disinfecting the CPR sensor, avoid the CPR sensor connector.
You should clean or disinfect the CPR sensor as per your hospital's regulations after each use.
Sterilization is not allowed for the CPR sensor.
Recommended disinfecting agents are:
 Ethanol (70%)
 Isopropyl alcohol (70%)
 Sodium hypochlorite bleach (10%, Sodium hypochlorite)
 Super Sani-cloth® Germicidal Disposable Wipe (Quaternary ammonium chloride 0.5%, Isopropyl
alcohol 55%

Troubleshooting

If you encounter problems when using the CPR sensor, check the table below before requesting
for services. If the problem persists after you have taken corrective actions, contact your service
personnel.
Problem
The compression depth/recoil indicator or
compression rate indicator/inactivity timer
is off.
The battery indicator is off.
The compression rate indicator/inactivity
timer displays EXX (XX represents code 01
to 99).
The CPR sensor does not adhere to
patient's chest.
You are unfamiliar with the CPR sensor,
or doubts there is a problem with the CPR
sensor.

Corrective Actions
If your CPR sensor is configured with a battery, check that
it is not in the sleeping status.
If it is the CPR sensor configured with a battery, check
that its battery power is normal. If the battery is depleted,
charge the battery.
Contact your service personnel.
 Check that the CPR adhesive tape is not expired.
 Check that the patient's chest is clean and dry.
If the problem persists, administrate CPR using the CPR
sensor even if it does not adhere to the patient's chest.
 Ignore feedback from the CPR sensor and continue
with CPR.
 At an appropriate time after the CPR event, check
that the CPR adhesive tape is not soiling or damaged.
Apply a new CPR adhesive tape and let a trained
operator perform chest compressions with the CPR
sensor on a CPR manikin. If the CPR sensor does not
function as expected, remove it from service and
contact your service personnel.
