2. Product description
The PreFeeder 1100 is a universal, electrically operated cable prefeeder for cable reels weighing up to
20kg. The cable feed rate is controlled in continuously variable fashion by means of a movable flanged
guide roller. This design ensures precise adaptation of the cable feed rate to the requirements of the
receiving unit such as a cable cutter or stripper.
3. Responsibilities
The machine operator is responsible for ensuring that every employee who uses the Schleuniger
PreFeeder 1100 has received training in accordance with these operating instructions (initial operation,
operation, maintenance). The training of the operating personnel must include the following:
•
Purpose of the machine (see section "2. Product description").
•
Danger areas (see section "5. Danger areas").
•
Safety instructions (see "6. Safety requirements").
•
Operating the machine in accordance with these operating instructions.
4. Personal Qualifications
To ensure that all instructions are understood, training must take place in the language of the operating
personnel. This means that the following personnel qualifications are required:
Assembly,
initial
operation, instruction
Operation
Maintenance, service
Technical specialist staff who have a good command of English and/or German
as well as of the language of the operating personnel.
Trained staff in accordance with section "3. Responsibilities".
Technical specialist staff who have a good command of English or German.
