Instructions for use
Explanatory drawings are at the end of this leaflet.
• Place your appliance on a flat, horizontal, stable and heat-resistant work surface, away from water
splashes.
• Check that the plates are well positioned and clipped (Fig. 4-7).
• Plug the cord into the mains.
• Do not forget to place a small container (saucer or plate not included) under the drip channel of your
plates to collect any juices that might run off.
• The red indicator light will come on and remain lit, showing that the appliance is powered on.
• Set the thermostat to the desired position (see cooking guide).
• Pre-heat the appliance for 5-10 minutes.
• Depending on the model, the device may have a switch.It's indicator lights to indicate the power
is on. A second heating red light turns on and off when the desired temperature is reached (5-10
minutes).
• After pre-heating, the appliance is ready for use.
• Open the appliance and carefully pour the batter on the lower cooking plate or on the two plates if
you use the barbecue function (fig.11 & 20).
• As the appliance is not reversible, in grill function always put food on the lower plate.
• Leave the preparations to cook for the desired time (see cooking guide).
• When cooking is complete, put the thermostat in Min position.
• Turn off the appliance by pressing the switch: the lights will turn off depending on model.
• Unplug the appliance.
• Leave to cool for at least 2 hours in the position used for cooking.
Cleaning
• Check that the appliance is cooled and disconnected before cleaning.
• The appliance and its power supply cord must not be put in the dishwasher.
• The plates are dishwasher safe.
• The heating coil is not to be cleaned. If it is really dirty, wait until it has cooled down and wipe with
a dry cloth.
