MARINE SHRINK VENT
Mount on an unobstructed area on the cover. Do not mount against any hard surfaces. This will not allow proper air flow.

1. Vent should be mounted on a
vertical, 90° angle to keep rain/
snow from entering. For best
results, mount the vent as high as
possible. (See Figure 1)

2. Hold vent vertically pointing
upward. Press the point of
the vent in and push the vent
upward. The point should pierce
the marine shrink cover.
(See Figure 2)
NOTE: Heavy gauge plastic
or fabric covers may require
pre-cutting a 2⁄" horizontal
slit prior to installation.

continue to push the vent
upward until it reaches the
locking notches. Smooth any
wrinkles in the shrink and release
the end tabs. (See Figure 3)
CAUTION! Surface
temperature of covering
material must be above
freezing (32°F) during
installation of vent.
CAUTION! Some covering
materials may require a
strip of adhesive tape to be
placed across the outside
flex-member of vent to
prevent side movement of
vent after installation.
