APPLICATIONS
WÜRTH's "Spring Stopper" is a useful tool for clamping the shock
absorber spring to the bracket of the shock absorber remover
to prevent accidental detachment when disassembling and
reassembling the shock absorber itself.
It can also be used on mechanical compression systems for shock
absorber springs that use similar spiral support brackets.

INSTRUCTIONS
• Find the suitable position that will avoid interfering with the
bottom of the shock absorber's stem and will enable you to fix
only the spring to the bracket, fig. 1.
• Screw in until the spring's thread adheres to the side edge of the
bracket and then tighten, fig. 2.
• You can now begin to compress the spring until the shock
absorber releases.
• If you want to replace the shock absorber immediately, you
can do so without removing the spring stopper. Otherwise, if
you want to release the spring without compression, this can be
done safely since the spring stopper will continue to keep the
spiral locked in place, therefore eliminating the risk of the spring
winding itself around the bracket and dangerously exiting from
the bottom.
