Make sure the VPS works correctly by moving the side slider backwards and
forwards, so that you can hear the clicks meaning that it entered the corre-
sponding positions (Fig. 10 A). If necessary, repeat the above-mentioned
steps.

Should the VPS mechanism fail or be damaged, please refer to an X-Lite
authorized dealer.

Do not use the helmet if the VPS has not been assembled properly.

Since the VPS does not assure you the same protection as the one provided
by the visor, it has to be used only when the helmet visor is lowered.

WIND PROTECTOR
(Available as standard or accessory/spare part)
The Wind Protector allows for an improved helmet performance under certain condi-
tions of use by reducing unpleasant air infiltration from under the chin.
To disassemble the wind protector, release the three snap buttons fastened to the
inner chin guard and the two snap buttons fastened to the lower part of the cheek
pads (Fig. 12).
To assemble the wind protector, fasten the three snap buttons to the inner chin guard
and then the two snap buttons fastened to the lower part of the cheek pads (Fig. 12).

To remove and/or reassemble the inner comfort padding, lift the VPS (see instruc-
tions above).

Cheek Pad Disassembly
11.1 Remove the Wind Protector (see instructions above) and open the chin strap
(see instructions). Pull the front padding of the left cheek pad towards the inside
of the helmet to undo the snap fastener and the Velcro on its back (Fig. 13).
11.2 Remove the padding of the left cheek pad from the helmet by pulling the rear
flaps out of the cavity between the polystyrene cheek pad and the outer shell
(Fig. 14).
11.3 Pull the left band of the chin strap out of the slot located in the padding of the
left cheek pad.
11.4 Repeat these steps with the padding of the right cheek pad.
Note: It is not necessary to remove the polystyrene cheek pads from the hel-
met shell.

Liner disassembly
12.1 Unhook the left rear flap of the liner from the support fixed to the polystyrene
inner shell by slightly pulling the comfort padding towards the inside of the hel-
met (Fig. 15). Then repeat the same steps to remove the central flap as well as
the right flap.
12.2 Hold the left front part of the liner and pull it upwards in order to remove the
corresponding liner flap from the support fixed to the polystyrene inner shell
(Fig. 16). Then repeat the same steps for the central front and right flap.
12.3 Completely remove the liner from the helmet.
