4.1.2. FEATURE : FreezeGuard
When the inside temperature of the cooler is about to drop to 0°C,
the unit automatically stops cooling to prevent freezing of contents.
4.1.3. FEATURE : Energy saving
To minimize the energy consumption of your cooler during
operation :
- Avoid exposing your cooler to direct sunlight.
- Avoid leaving the lid open.
- In order to maintain optimum performance of your cooler, limit the
frequency and duration of opening the lid.
- Use your cooler at ECO setting to reduce the power consumption
of your cooler.
Ensure that the coolbox is not packed too full and that the air can
circulate adequately between the coolbox content.
4.2 RUNNING MODES / DIAL FEATURES
Your Campingaz
cooler is equipped with a control dial (Drawing.
®
G) that will allow you to choose the way your cooler will run
depending on your needs and preference.
1/ OFF setting : This setting completely shuts off the operation of
the cooler without the need to unplug the powercord.
2/ ECO setting : When the cooler operates in ECO position,
it allows a very high level of energy saving. It gives a Delta T
( difference between outside temperature and inside temperature)
of
approximately 8°C to 10°C. For example, if the outside
temperature is 21°C, the temperature inside the cooler will reach
approximately 11°C to 13°C.
This setting is recommended for long term usage (several
days) and for usage in air-conditioned cars or at outside
temperatures up to 21°C.
3/ MAx setting : This setting offers the maximum and ultimate
cooling performance. When the cooler operates in MAX position ,
the Delta T is approximately 17°C to 18°C.
In this position, the temperature inside the cooler is lower than in
the ECO position but more energy is consumed.
This setting is recommended for short term on the spot usage and
for usage in hot conditions.
4/ NIGHT setting : This mode lowers the fan speed to reduce the
noise level and make the cooler quieter. In this configuration the
inside temperature is approx. 15°C below ambient.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE

To avoid food contamination, the following instructions should be
followed:
Before cleaning your cooler, make sure that it is disconnected from
any electrical power supply. When cleaning the cooling box please
refrain from using a harsh cleaning agent or solvent. The best way
to clean the box is with a damp cloth, possibly also using some
washing up liquid.
If the coolbox is not going to be used for a lengthy period of time,
it should be dried beforehand. It is also important to provide good
ventilation, in order to avoid the formation of mould.
It is recommended to leave the lid open when the appliance is
not in use.
You can continuously use the CAMPINGAZ
for days at a time, but it is necessary to regularly switch it off in order
to defrost it and to empty the condensated water, if necessary.
Keeping the door open for long periods of time can cause a
significant increase in the temperature of appliance compartments.
Regularly clean surfaces that may come into contact with food and
accessible drainage systems.
Store raw meat and fish ensuring that they do not come into
contact with other foods or drip onto other foods.
Not suitable for freezing fresh food.
If the refrigeration appliance will be left empty for a long period of
time, turn it off, defrost, clean and dry it, and leave the door open
to prevent mould growth inside the appliance.

If you have a problem with your thermo-electric cooler, we advise
you to read the following with care.
6.1. Cable problem
If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the
Manufacturer or its After-Sales Service or a similarly qualified person
in order to avoid Hazards. See separate spreadsheet.
6.2. Connection problem
Your cooler and the outside rotor of the fan are not running (green
LED off):
Check the car lighter socket: in most vehicles the ignition must be
turned on for the lighter to work. If the ignition is turned on but the
cooler is not operating, remove the plug from the socket immediately,
and make the following checks:
6.3. Cooling problem
• Your cooler is connected correctly to an electrical power supply, but it
• Your cooler is not cooling correctly and the outside rotor of the fan
6.4. Noise
The thermoelectric system requires a fan to dissipate hot air and
create cool air circulation inside the cooler. The fan motor can be
heard when the cooler is plugged to a power source.

This symbol means that the appliance's electrical system must be
disposed of selectively. At the end of its life, the appliance's electrical
system must be scrapped correctly. The electrical system must not
be disposed of with unsorted municipal waste. Selective collection
of waste promotes reuse, recycling or other forms of recovery of
recyclable materials contained in this waste. Take the appliance's
electrical system to a waste recovery centre designed for the
purpose (waste collection point). Check with your local authorities.
Never dispose of in nature, do not incinerate: the presence of
certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment
can be harmful to the environment, and have a potential effect on
human health.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

• Cigarette lighter socket: when the cigarette lighter is used
frequently, it can be soiled by tobacco, causing a bad electric
contact. Clean it with a non-metallic brush.
• If the cooler plug heats abnormally in the cigarette lighter, clean
the socket or check to make sure the plug is assembled correctly.
• 12V
connection: Connector fuse: the connector of your 12V
power supply cable is protected by a 7 A fuse. Check that the
fuse has not blown by unscrewing the 12V
cable (Drawing H/H1).
• Fuse replacement for the UK plug: After the disconnection of
your device from the mains, check that the plug fuse has not
blown by unscrewing the plug.
