Troubleshooting Tips... Before you call for service
First try the solutions suggested here to possibly avoid the cost of a service call.
PROBLEM
Refrigerator does not run.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
Refrigerator is unplugged.
The circuit breaker is tripped/
turned off or the fuse is blown.
Refrigerator is in defrost mode
Temperature control is not set

Warm food added recently
Items against back of
compartments are blocking
Refrigerator is in adaptive defrost
mode

Warm or large amounts of food

Door is left open
Hot weather or frequent openings This is normal

WHAT TO DO
Plug refrigerator into power source
Reset/Turn on circuit breaker or replace
fuse.
Wait about 30 minutes for defrost cycle
to end and cooling system to restart
Turn temperature knob clockwise to
hours to adjust
package isn't preventing door from
closing
Allow time for food and refrigerator to
cool
Store items only inside the trim of the
sides of the compartments or directly in
front of any vents
This is normal. Defrost cycle lasts about
30 minutes
Turn knob counter-clockwise to change
adjust
Allow 24 hours for the refrigerator to
cool down
This is normal
Ensure that door is not being held open
by an item
Adjust knob to a warmer setting
temperature knob to slightly colder
setting
package isn't preventing door from
closing
Cover or seal container
