Inserting Sealant Cartridges
Before any work on the machine itself, remove
the battery.
Observe the warnings and working instructions
of the manufacturer on the sealant cartridge.
– Press the safety switch against starting 8 to lock
the On/Off switch 9. This prevents accidental
switching on of the tool.
– Cut off the lid on the nipple of the sealant car-
tridge. (Fig. A)
– Screw on the application nozzle 1 and cut it off at
an angle according to the desired joint width
(small openings require a greater expenditure of
force). (Fig. B)
Note: When the lid on the nipple of the sealant car-
tridge is not cut off or opened, adhesive or sealant
could be forced out of the cartridge end and thus
damage your tool.
Note: Pay attention that no material is deposited
within the tool. Working with a dirty push rod 4 can
damage the tool and lead to misalignment of the
cartridge.
– Hold the tool firmly. Press the release lever 10 to
release the push rod 4. Pull the push rod 4 back
so that the sealant cartridge can be inserted into
the cartridge holder.
– Insert the prepared sealant cartridge from the
front into the sealant dispension tube 3 and screw
on the shutter-cap 2 straight and firmly. (Fig. C)
– Press and hold the release lever 10 while pressing
the push rod 4 toward the front at the same time,
until the rod faces against the cartridge or the car-
rier plate.
– Let go of the release lever 10.
Initial Operation
– Push the safety switch against starting 8 down-
ward.
– With the speed preselector 5, the feed speed can
be variably adjusted. In this manner, the ejection
of the material can be optimally adapted to vari-
ous joint widths and nozzle diameters.
For slow material ejection, turn the speed prese-
lector 5 in anticlockwise direction.
For fast material ejection, turn the speed preselec-
tor 5 in clockwise direction.
– Press the On/Off switch 9. For non-delayed
material ejection, the feed requires a short period
to adapt to the adjusted speed.
For high viscosity, select a low setting.
– Release the On/Off switch 9 to stop the material
ejection.
– After use, push the safety switch against start-
ing 8 upward. This prevents accidental switching
on of the tool during cleaning and transport.
For use with sachets you need to add the blue
sachet plunger.
Electronic overload protection
If too much pressure is exerted on the sealant con-
tainer, the motor will automatically reverse for 1 sec
and then shut down.
To reset the battery and tool, release the trigger and
resume normal operation.
Auto-Reverse Mechanism
The tool has an auto-reverse feature that reverses the
plunger when the trigger is pressed for more than 2
seconds and released. This feature helps stop excess
material from continuing to flow.
Pulsing the trigger will deactivate the auto reverse
mechanism and allow for continued pressure on the
tube. This helps maintain a slower material feed
rate.
Auto- shut off
When the sealant container is empty, the auto-shut
off feature will turn the motor off. Pull the plunger
back and replace the sealant container.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Before any work on the machine itself, remove
the battery.
For safe and proper working, always keep the
machine and the ventilation slots clean.
When cleaning use only a damp cloth on plastic
parts.
Many household cleaners contain chemicals that
could seriously damage plastic. DO NOT use gaso-
line, turpentine, lacquer or paint thinner, dry clean-
ing fluids or similar products. NEVER let any liquid
get inside the tool; never immerse any part of the
tool into a liquid.
If the machine should fail despite the care taken in
manufacturing and testing, repair should be carried
out by a Würth Master-Service agent.
For all correspondence and spare parts orders,
always include the article number on the type plate
of the machine.
