If there is a skirting board (baseboard) to which the Nottingham gate
is to be attached, always measure the width of the opening on the
floor between the 2 skirting boards (baseboards) and adjust the two
gate sections to one of the five positions shown in figure 2.
If the screw adjusters (D) on the top of the barrier are too short,
firstly mount the Spacer (M) on the handle side at the top of the gate
to the wall using the appropriate fixings depending on the surface
available (double-sided adhesive pads (J) or screws 4x55 (P) with
plugs (K) ) and then screw the wall fitting (C) on it by using the
screw 4x12 (N).
For Brick or Masonry use the appropriate fittings, screws and plugs
for your wall (not included).
Adjust the screw adjuster (D) on the handle side.
Make sure that the gate is mounted firmly and evenly in vertical
position.

Regularly check gate to ensure it is fitted properly and securely. Adjust as required.
Regularly check tension knobs and rubber pads to make sure the gate is securely in place.
Do not use the safety gate if any components are damaged or missing.
To clean, wipe surface with a damp cloth or sponge using mild detergent and warm water.
Never clean with abrasive, ammonia based bleach based or spirit type cleaners.
If the gate does not stay in position or does not swing closed properly, the gate may not be installed properly.
Remove and re-install gate, make sure the gate is installed vertically.
