4.5 CABLE GLANDS

Use only cable glands that have been approved Ex e and Ex tc IIIC.
Certified cable glands and plugs can be assembled only if their IP degree of protection is suited to the IP degree of protection of
the enclosure.
Make sure that the cable glands used are suitable for the cable so as to prevent any loosening and guarantee a permanent seal
against humidity.
Other conditions are indicated in the cable gland instructions.

A threaded hole is provided on an exterior wall of the enclosure,
(Fig.3), for connection to the earth conductor; use terminal
screws and the non-rotating bracket supplied with the enclosure
as indicated in the figure.
Carry out the equipotential connection between the bottom and
the cover of the box using the screws and inserts supplied as
standard equipment.
