Cannot write to disc / Writing errors
•
Use the software included with the DVD writer.
•
Make sure the disc isn't full.
•
Use a supported disc format. Refer to the list of supported disc
formats on page 9.
•
Make sure the disc is label side up.
•
Make sure you have enough space on your computer's hard drive
(about 2x the size of the data you want to write).
•
Check the disc for scratches or fingerprints. These can cause
errors.
Writing to disc is slow
•
Use discs rated for the highest speed your DVD writer can write.
Refer to the list of read and write speeds on page 9.
•
Connect the DVD writer to a USB 2.0 port on your computer.
When connected to a USB 1.1 port, your writer will operate at
USB 1.1 (slower) speed.
