Fuel � lter
The fuel � lter prevents water or impurities
from the petrol tank getting into the
carburettor.
If the generator has not been used for a long
time, you will need to clean the fuel � lter.
Set the petrol cock to the OFF position.
Remove the cup and empty it. Wash the cup,
O-ring and � lter in pure petrol or similar.
Replace the � lter, O-ring and cup.
Open the petrol cock to the ON position and
check that there are no leaks by the fuel � lter.
Spark plug
Clean carbon deposits from the spark plug
after every 100 hours of operation or every 6
months.
Remove the spark plug cap (B) sitting on the
spark plug (20).
Brush away any dust from the area around
the spark plug.
Unscrew the spark plug using a spark plug
socket.
Use a feeler gauge to measure the electrode
gap, which should be 0.7-0.8 mm.

Clean the spark plug with a steel brush or
replace it if necessary.
Retighten the spark plug fully and replace
the spark plug cap.
Other engine parts
Other engine parts may only be serviced,
repaired or adjusted by an authorised
workshop.
Starter battery
The starter battery (C) automatically
recharges when the generator is running.
