3. INSTALLATION OF THE EXHAUST GAS EVACUATION DUCTS

DANGER:
The exhaust extraction ducts must be made in a material resistant to the condensate
that can form when the boiler is operating. These materials must also be capable of
supporting fl ue gas temperatures up to 120°C.
Horizontal duct runs must be avoided so as not to cause condensate retention. To do this
use a minimum slope of 3% towards the boiler in the horizontal parts.
To facilitate assembly, coat the seals with the grease provided.

WARNING:
3.1. B23 type connection
CONDENSINOX and VARFREE boilers are high performance boilers with very low
exhaust temperatures; consequently to retain a favourable draft the ducts must run
upwards from the boiler outlet.
The size of the chimney ducts must be determined taking account of combustion gas
pressure on boiler output equal to 0 Pa.
The rules of the art and the national and prefectoral regulations must be respected.
3.2. B23 type installation

IMPORTANT:
The combustion product evacuation duct must be sized so that the maximum acceptable
pressure on boiler output does not exceed 160 Pa (80°/60° regime).

Before any work is carried out, ensure that:
• The overall gas supply is shut off;
• The power supply to the boiler is removed.
If several boilers are connected to the same fl ue, check:
1. By calculation, that the fl ue is not under pressure, with all the
boilers operating.
2. If one of the boilers is stopped or operating at minimum power,
that the others do not discharge into it.
For this type of confi guration, it is imperative to use an exhaust
system with technical evaluation document (ducts under pressure).
Depending on the actual confi guration of the duct, a calculation is
required to check that the pressures at the boiler outlet do not exceed
the maximum authorised value above
