Using Your Slow Cooker:
1. Prepare recipe according to instructions.
2. Place prepared food into the removable ceramic pot and cover with glass cover.
3. Plug the unit into wall outlet. The digital display will read "0:00".
4. This slow cooker has 3 different settings: High, Low and Warm. The cooking times
range from 0 to 10 hours and are adjusted in 30-minute increments. Cooking
times ranging from 0 to 6 hours automatically cook on the High setting. Anything
above 6 hours is cooked on the Low setting*.
5. After the initial display of "0:00", press the Cooking Time button to select your
desired cooking time. To begin the cooking process press the Off button. Pressing
the Off button again will result in the keep warm function being activated. To cancel
the cooking process, press the Off button one more time.
6. Once the cooking cycle is finished, the unit will automatically switch to the keep
warm function after 10 minutes. You must push Off to turn off the keep warm
function. To start another cooking cycle, follow step 5 above.
7. Cooking times differ by the amount of ingredients, room temperature and many
other factors. Adjust the cooking time in reference to the final result. Repeatedly
removing the glass cover will decrease the temperature in the ceramic pot.
8. Lift the glass cover away from you carefully. Remember there is steam trapped
under the glass cover. When removing the cover, tilt so that the opening faces
away from you to avoid being burned by the steam.
9. When finished, turn the unit off and unplug from the wall outlet.
10. Let ceramic pot and glass cover cool completely before washing.
11. The sides of the metal housing and the ceramic pot on the slow cooker get very
hot. Use oven mitts or pot holders to remove the ceramic pot.
12. The removable ceramic pot can be used for serving the meal at the table.
* Slow cooker instructions and recipes will often refer to specifically using a high or
