Insert the clean quartz sleeve DELICATELY into the equipment, ensuring you are exactly in the centre
of the equipment.

Take care to position the end of the sleeve in its housing at the bottom of the reactor. (Use a lamp to help
you if necessary).

Take hold of the new lamp taking care not to place your fingers outside the cap.

(if you do, clean the lamp with a soft cloth and some methylated spirits).

Change the quartz seals:
(Put a new seal at each change of lamp)
● lubricate the seal using food grade grease,
● position it and push it fully home in its housing using your nail (do
not use tools).
Replace the lamp locating ring in the quartz sleeve.
Replace the flat washers.
(The Teflon washer against the quartz, the stainless steel washer on top).
Refit the support from the quartz sleeve.
Put the installation back in pressure before the reassembly of lamps and
check that there is no leakage in the quartz sleeve.
Fully engage the lamp in the quartz sleeve.
The lamp must be positioned in its locating ring at the bottom of the quartz.
Reconnect the connector to the lamp (do not force the connector into place:
There is a specific connection direction).
Screw on the lamp cover and the strain relief.
