The FireWare Hybrid can be used with either propane or butane. We recommend using propane, as
butane may still be liquid with temperatures around the freezing point, which is when it may not be
used as fuel for the FireWare Hybrid.
Gas cylinders with contents of more than 10 kg should be used for the most realistic flame effect.
With low temperatures we would recommend connecting two parallel gas cylinders in order to
guarantee sufficient gas. A series coupling is available for this purpose (049-092-008).
Please note: always check the fire extinguishing trainer, the gas cylinder and the gas hose for any
signs of damage before use. Never use damaged parts.
1.
Position the fire extinguishing trainer outside on a flat, hard surface, without any flammable
objects nearby (dead grass, leaves, trees, shelters).
2.
Connect the FireWare Hybrid (5) to the gas cylinder (1) using the gas hose with the
squeeze handle (3). The shortcut should be used for connection to the FireWare Hybrid
(6) and the threaded side should be secured to the gas cylinder's gas valve (2).
3.
You have the option of filling the FireWare Hybrid with water for a more realistic effect,
or to mimic a liquid fire. The FireWare Hybrid can also very effectively be used without water.
Please note: Note the date printed on the gas hose. This is the date the hose was manufactured.
The life of a gas hose is on average ten years. The gas hose should be inspected every two years.
