When thec combustion chamber is clean, we have to clean the smoke register placed on the bottom of
the stove. In the Boreal-6 and Boreal-12 models, you can access to this register simply by opening the
door, instead in the Boreal-9 model shoud remove the door, the decorative front pannel and the ceiling
of the stove (one single piece). See drawing attached and, then, carry out the next procedures:
-
Remove the register cover unscrewing the different screws.
-
Clean the ashes deposited on the register, clean the soot deposited.
-
Clean the extractor forks and case. Remove the extractor if necessary.
-
Replace all the pieces and check the staunchness of the register.

SEASONAL STOPPAGES

If the stove will not be used for a long time it is convenient to keep the fuel tank empty, such as the
screw-type conveyor to avoid the fuel compacting. Clean the stove and the smoke duct, removing the
ashes and other residues, close the stove door. It is recommended to clean the chimney at least once a
year. Meanwhile, check the seals because if they are not in good condition (they do not adjust to the door), they do not guarantee the proper operation
of the stove! For this reason, it would be necessary to change them. If there is humidity in the place where the stove is installed, put absorbent salts inside
the equipment. Protect the internal parts with neutral vaseline in order to keep the appearance overtime.

MAINTENANCE REVIEW

It is also advisable to check and clean COMPULSORY once a year, the existing ashes registers in the bottom and the top part of the stove.
Your stove has a preventive maintenance notice established after 1200 hours of operation, which will remember you the need of cleaning the registers of
your stove. These operations should be done exclusively by an authorised technician.
This message is not an alarm, but a reminder or warning. Therefore, it will allow you to use the stove while this message is shown in the display.
Please, bear in mind that the stove could need to be cleaned before this 1200 hours established by default or even after them. This depends on the
quality of the fuel used, the smoke installation, and the proper regulation of the stove.
In the following table (also pasted on your stove in the fuel tank cover) you can check the frequency of the maintenance tasks and who must do it.
