KNOW YOUR APPLIANCE

note: experience is the key to getting the
best results out of this appliance. After a few
uses, you should be able to tell which settings
work best for your tastes and recipes.

BeFore FIrsT use

Before you use the appliance for the first time, please
do as follows: Carefully unpack the appliance and re-
move all the packaging material. Keep the packing
material including plastic bags and cardboard away
from young children. Check the appliance after un-
packing for any damage, possibly from transportation.
Place the appliance on a stable and heat resistant sur-
face. Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. The hot
plate(s) may have a protective layer which should
be removed before the first use. In a well ventilated
area, prime the appliance by turning on the burners .
This will burn off any residual plastic or cardboard
dust. There may be a slight smell of smoke for a cou-
ple of minutes. Turn off and wipe clean. Your appli-
ance is now ready to use.

HoW To use

Plug the unit into the wall outlet.
Flip the master power switch (2) to the up (I) position.
Rotate the Thermostatic temperature knob (1) all the
way to max position. The heating indicator light will il-
luminate. Allow the burner to heat fully until the heat-
ing indicator light goes out. Then rotate knob
counter-clockwise to desired setting. MIN is low and
MAX is high. Make sure the thermostat button is set to
position «MIN» before you switch on the appliance. It
may take several minutes before the hot plate has
reached the maximum temperature (on the maximum

position of the thermostat knob) and the unit heats fully.
The left burner unit is lower power, and can be used for
simmering and reheating and other low power cooking
chores. The right burner is higher power and is intended
for boiling and cooking and other high temperature
cooking chores.
ATTENTION: THE APPLIANCE CAN GET VERY HOT DURING USE. THEREFORE, AL-
WAYS PLACE THE APPLIANCE ON A HEAT
RESISTANT SURFACE.
Do not touch the hot plate when in use. If absolutely
necessary, use the transport handles (6) to move the
unit. This unit needs time to cool down after switching
the appliance off. Always unplug the unit after every
use.

CleAnInG And sTorAGe

Let the appliance cool off and always unplug the appli-
ance before cleaning. Wipe the outside of the appliance
with a damp cloth and then wipe dry. Do not use any
abrasives! Be aware of the fact that the appliance
needs time to cool down after switching off. Never
immerse the appliance in water or others liquids.
