Installation
 Make sure that the appliance's plug is not inserted in
the socket and the switch is in the OFF position.
 Turn the appliance upside down to fit the base.
 Insert the lead and plug through the hole in the base.
 Place the base on the top part of the appliance. Make
sure that the tilt protection is passed through the hole
in the base and it can switch smoothly.
 Turn the nuts on and tighten them firmly.
 Then turn the appliance around again.
Connection
The heater is supplied with a plug. Never use the
appliance with a damaged cable and/or plug, after the
heater has not been working properly, or if it has been
damaged in whatever way. The replacement of a cable
and/or socket plug may only be done by a qualified
professional who is familiar with the applicable
requirements.
Operation
 Insert the plug in the plug socket and press the
ON/OFF key to switch the appliance on.
 Press the 1° key to switch on the heating (= 400W).
 The press the 2° key (= 800W) and 3° key (= 1200W)
to provide extra heat.
 Press the rotation key to have the heating
automatically turn from left to right.
 When switching off the appliance you must press all
keys again and pull the plug from the socket.
Note:
Allow the appliance to completely cool down before
moving it.
During initial start-up, it is possible that the appliance
emits a small amount of smoke or odour. This is due to a
drop of oil that may have fallen on the heating element
during the
production process. The drop will evaporate and cannot
cause damage.
Cleaning
 We advise you to carefully clean the heater once a
month to remove dirt and dust. This is to allow the
appliance to operate efficiently and safely.
 Switch off the appliance with the ON/OFF key and
pull the plug from the wall socket. Make sure the
appliance has fully cooled before cleaning.
 Clean the housing with a clean, soft and lightly
moistened cloth. Never clean the heating elements.
Let everything dry thoroughly before switching the
heater on again. Do not use any detergent (wax) or
cleaning agents; these can react under the influence
of heat and cause the colour to deteriorate.
 Save the box for storage during periods you are not
using the heater. When being stored the heater
must also be protected against dirt and dust.
Guarantee
The guarantee period amounts to 2 years and
commences on the date of purchase. During the
guarantee period Eltra NV resolves any defects
caused by material or manufacturing faults. Eltra NV
may optionally either repair or replace the defective
appliance. Eltra NV is not obligated to repair or replace
units if the defect is a result of damage, misuse,
modification or changes made after the date of
purchase. Bring the defective device, along with the
original sales receipt, back to the store where the unit
was purchased. Always include a note describing the
problem.
Damage
Eltra NV can under no circumstances whatsoever be
held responsible for damage of whatever nature if the
appliance was not correctly installed according to the
specified installation instructions, nor for damage as a
result of unforeseen circumstances such as natural
disasters, lightning strike, etc. All such resulting costs
are consequently at the expense of the buyer and are
not covered by the guarantee conditions.
Used household appliance collection
The European Directive 2002/96/EC on waste
electrical and electronic equipment mandates that
used appliances are not allowed in the municipal
waste stream. Used appliances must be separately
collected for the optimal recovery and recycling of
materials for the recovery and recycling of materials to
reduce the impact on human health and the
environment. All these products are marked with a
specific symbol to remind of the obligations of waste
separation.
Consumers must contact local authorities or suppliers
in connection with the procedure they must follow
when disposing of their household appliances.
