An inclination sensor has been added to your
vehicle's content theft-deterrent system. The
inclination sensor will detect a change in the parked
angle of your vehicle. If a change is detected, the
inclination sensor will set off your vehicle's content
theft deterrent alarm.
The inclination sensor will be activated whenever
the content theft deterrent system has been acti-
vated and the sensor has not been disabled using
the DIC Vehicle Customization feature. Refer to
Content Theft Deterrent in your owner's manual for
activating and turning off the theft deterrent system.
The following conditions may set off your inclination
sensor alarm:

Loading and unloading the vehicle
•
Jacking the vehicle to remove a tire or to tow the
vehicle
•
Unstable loads
•
Leaving a person or a large pet in the vehicle

Parking the vehicle on an unstable surface such
as a ferry boat
• Refueling your vehicle.
A message will appear in the Driver Information
Center (DIC) each time you turn off the ignition to allow
you to disable this sensor.
To disable the inclination sensor:
1. Turn ignition key OFF.
2. The PRESS TO DISABLE MOTION SENSOR
message will appear in the DIC.
3. Press the Set/Reset DIC button.
