Contact Grill
The grill is best used to grill sandwiches, like grilled cheese sandwiches.
You can also grill vegetables, lean meat like chicken, hot dogs, fish, shrimps, etc. If the
case, please make sure to use a non-stick cooking spray, or spread a bit of cooking oil on
the cooking plates, before adding the food to cook.
Important notice: Avoid grilling food with a high fat or water content, or marinated
food, as they produce a lot of liquids that could then overflow.
Do not attempt to grill frozen food. Always thaw the food before cooking.
Be careful about the size of the food placed in the grill so that you are able to close the
lid during the cooking.
You can use a bit of butter or margarine on the external sides of the sandwiches before
grilling them.
You do not have to lock the appliance shut with the locking clip while toasting or grilling.
The locking clip is mainly used to keep the unit closed during storage.
Before cleaning, unplug and wait for the appliance and the plates to cool down completely.
Wipe the outside with a slightly moistened cloth or paper towel.
To clean the plates, wipe the plates with a damp cloth or towel. A little dish soap can be
used if rinsed well afterwards, using a damp cloth or paper towel.
Wipe dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
Should any cooking residue be difficult to remove, we recommend pouring a bit of cooking
oil onto the surface and wipe it off, after the residue has softened.
Do not clean the body or the plates with any abrasive product or powders, scouring pad or
steel wool, as this will damage the finish of the appliance.
Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
Do NOT immerse in water or any other liquid.
Do NOT place the grill under running water.
