WARNING! DO NOT MOUNT THIS ITEM ABOVE CRIBS, BEDS, or CHANGING TABLES.
The components of this system can be purchased either separately, or combined in one of the following kits:
1)
Three Rails; One 3-foot Shelf; One 2 foot Shelf; and One Desk.
2)
Two Rails; Two 2-foot Shelves; and One Desk.
3)
Two Rails; One 2-foot Shelf; and One Desk.
In each case, the rails each include five mounting holes and evenly spaced nail heads along the length. The nail heads
engage the shelving and the desk units. The Desk unit comes fully assembled, but each shelf must be assembled prior to
wall-mounting. The system requires that at least two rails be mounted parallel to each other on a wall, but additional rails
can be included to allow a variety of shelf and desk configurations, as illustrated below:
(Note: that the above illustrations represent examples of component configurations which may require additional components.)
Useful Mounting Information: The distance between the center of each rail is 23 ¼ inches for the Two Foot shelving
Mounting Instructions:
A)
Decide where you would like this shelving system against a wall using one of the two long mounting rails as a guide.
Once decided, hold the rail vertically straight on the wall. Use a bubble or laser level to ensure that the rail is
vertically straight and then use a pencil to mark the wall through the five holes located along the rail. Set the rail
aside. We recommend that you secure this rail to the wall first and then use an assembled shelf as a guide to
accurately position a second, and any subsequent rails. The five marks on the wall are the locations for the provided
mounting hardware.
We provide hardware for mounting the rails either to sheetrock, or directly to wood studs, should they align with the
location of the rails. If mounting to sheetrock, you must first install what is called an anchor before securing the
screw. The anchor expands within the wall and helps hold the screw to the wall. For studs, you just use the screws.
