UGIN DENTAIRE
Fusing alloys is a delicate operation and the operator should devote complete attention to it.
Because of this it is essential to respect some rules:
-
Never add any material during the fusing process. There is a risk of hot metal being projected out.
-
Observing the fusion process should not be done with the cover open and your face over the
crucible.
Monitoring is perfectly adequate using the heat-treated porthole window specially designed for
this purpose.
-
Use the quartz baton (and only the quartz baton) to push around the unmelted slugs and to
homogenize the mixture.
PLEASE NOTE!
This operation requires operators to take some precautions:
- Use gloves suitable for use in heat.
- Never put your face over the crucible when doing this mixing action.
- Quickly close the cover once this operation is complete.
-
The relatively high temperature of the setup at the end of the cycle can cause burns. It is essential
to handle the crucible using suitable gloves and/or grippers.
