Sediment Trap Assembly

Assemble the tee, nipples and cap together and
tighten securely. See Fig. 5. The sediment trap
assembly must always be mounted in a vertical
position. Make sure pipe thread compound that is
resistant to both L.P. gas and natural gas is used
in making all connections. Check all connec-
tions for gas leaks using approved gas
leak detectors.

Assembly
1. Always use approved pipe thread compound
suitable for use with L.P. gas or natural gas on
the threaded connections.
2. Assemble the components together accord-
ing to the fi gure. This view is to show general
assembly of the components only. The regulator
must always be mounted so its vent, regardless

of location on the regulator, is always pointed
downward.

3. Tighten all connections securely.
