MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1: Place the jack housing on the tongue as near to the coupler as convenient and insert the four mounting bolts in the holes corresponding to 2",
2¹⁄₂" or 3" tongue width (see figure 1).
STEP 2: Place the clamp plates on the bolts under the tongue, and put flat washers, lock washers and nuts on the bolts. Tighten uniformly.
STEP 3: Place the ¹⁄₂" flat washer over the crank handle shaft. Install the handle and locknut and tighten securely.
NOTE:
Where extra height is required, the jack can be mounted under the tongue (see figure 2). To do this, crank the post out of the bottom of the
housing. Replace the post in the housing in the opposite direction, then mount the jack to the tongue as described above.
NOTE:
In order to mount the jack on a round tongue, weld two plates to pipe to form a flat surface as shown in figure 3. 2¹⁄₂" x 4" or 3" x 4" plates are
acceptable.
CAUTION! Your jack was designed to handle loads up to 800 lbs./363 Kg. Loads in excess of 800 lbs./363 Kg. will cause accelerated wear
on jack parts and possible failure.
CAUTION! This jack is not for highway use, never tow trailer with a load on jack.
USE AND CARE OF YOUR TONGUE JACK
Since road dirt can enter the housing over a period of time, it is recommended that you grease the moving surfaces frequently, especially the gears
which can be reached through the bottom of the housing. If the wheel bracket becomes hard to swivel, dis-assemble and grease the (2) nylon
washers with a good waterproof grease and re-assemble.
When manually moving trailer over rough or unpaved surfaces, always crank the tongue to the lowest practical position to avoid high bending
stress on the jack post.
CAUTION! Before towing trailer, always crank wheel up to give maximum road clearance.
