PUMP INSTALLATION
4.1
INSTALLATION INTO PIPE LINES
The pump must be built with the electromotor shaft in a horizontal position (figure 3.1, page 10). The
allowed and forbidden positions are shown in figure 3.2. For some allowed positions the control box
must be rotated which is shown in figure 3.3. When rotating the control box, pump must first be cooled
down and emptied of medium.
Before starting, the pump must be filled with the medium. For appropriate operation, the minimum
pressure of 0,2 bar must be provided on the suction side of pump.
The pump deaerates automatically while working. After installation, let the pump run for a while with
outflows opened. Air in the pump can cause noise. After a short working period the noise will
disappear. Although pump is auto-calibrated meanwhile normal working, it is advised to run the
calibration procedure after pump is deaerated. To do that close all the outflows and turn the pump off
and on again.
In its operational phase the pump heats up or gets heated up by the pumped medium, therefore it
must not be touched – burn hazard!
Pump must not run dry!
