• Connect the two lugs of the interwound cable "G" to the binding posts of the METALDEC appliance.
Self calibration: Once powered up the device will automatically calibrate the sensitive element.
carry out a series of trial tests by passing a metallic mass over the coil in the area of one of the corner
of the loop "A".
• Embed the loop ("E" fig. 1) in a stable condition making sure that it cannot be moved once the final
calibration has been carried out.
LED functions L1 L2 L3 L4
The leds will flash in cycle for three seconds at start up indicating that the system has started calibrating.
Once the calibration cycle has terminated the leds have the following meanings:
- L4 is normally OFF:
- L3 ON, L1 and L2 OFF:
- L1, L2 and L3 OFF:
- L1 ON, L2 and L3 OFF:
- L2 ON, L1 and L3 OFF:
- L1, L2 ON and L3, L4 OFF:
lights up when a metallic mass has been detected;
the device is functioning normally;
the inductive coil is not connected;
excessive coil length (see fig. 1);
insufficient coil length (see fig. 1);
the device is receiving abnormal data.
