Quick Start Guide
Step 2: Controls
(EN)
(1)
MODE indicator LEDs light up to
show the unit is powered on (ON)
and to indicate whether the unit
is in 2-in/4-out mode (2-4) or
1-in/8-out mode (1-8).
(2)
OUTPUT CHANNEL METER LEDs
show the output level for each
channel. The CLIP LED should
only light occasionally. If the
CLIP LED lights continuously,
rotate the channel's LEVEL knob
counter-clockwise to reduce the
output level.
(3)
LEVEL knobs control the output
level for each output channel.
(4)
POWER button turns the unit
on when the button is pressed
inward and latched in the ON
position. To turn the unit off , press
the button inward to unlatch and
then release the button to the
outward OFF position.
(5)
RACK EARS allow you to mount
and fi x the unit into a standard 1U
rack space.
(6)
POWER jack connects the unit to
AC power by using the included
IEC cable.
(7)
OUTPUT jacks send out copies
of the input signals received
from the INPUT A/B jacks.
Each OUTPUT jack uses balanced
cables with XLR connectors and
has a dedicated LEVEL control on
the front panel.
(8)
LINK A/B outputs send out exact
copies of the INPUT A/B signals
over balanced cables with XLR
connectors. The LINK output
levels are not adjustable.
(9)
MODE switch toggles between
2-in/4-out mode (2-4, in the
inward, latched position) and
1-in/8-out mode (1-8, in the
outward, un-latched position).
(10)
INPUT A/B jacks accept audio
signals from devices that use
balanced audio cables with XLR
connectors. When the DS2800
is in 1-in/8-out mode (1-8),
only the INPUT A XLR jack is
active. When in 2-in/4-out mode
(2-4), INPUT A and INPUT B are
both active, and each INPUT jack
feeds signal to four output jacks
(OUTPUT jacks 1-4 for INPUT
A, and OUTPUT jacks 5-8 for
INPUT B).
