ADDING BREAKER OPERATORS
1. Remove plug from desired opening on the circuit breaker
enclosure cover.
2. Place the O-Ring onto shaft groove with a touch of white grease
(see Figure 3).
3. Apply a small amount of non-petroleum based lubricant, such as
Crouse-Hinds STL or HTL to operator shaft threads.
4. Slide the large coil end of the spring over double flatted end of
operating shaft until the smallest coil seats against the circuit
portion of the shaft.
5. Thread shaft from the inside of enclosure thru proper operator
entry until it can no longer be turned.
6. Back off shaft one or two turns so that the O-ring is not exposed.
The square section of the shaft should be above the surface of
the cover exterior.
7. Install the operating fork by securing with lock washer and screw.
Fork should be facing bottom of panel with opening directly over
the circuit breaker toggle.
8. Fasten handle with screw and lock washer to the operating shaft.
Orient the handle so that the longer lever arm is towards the
outside of the panel board.

9. Install operating handle with counter bore facing up and shorter
end pointing towards the center of the breaker enclosure using
the lock washer and screw provided.
ADDING PLUGS
Remove breaker operator assembly and using a non-petroleum
based thread lubricant, thread in plug until it is tight against cover
interior using the LP-K2 replacement cover plugs.
Clean dirt or foreign material from both flange surfaces of
body and cover before closing.
Securely tighten all cover bolts. Use only bolts supplied with the
panel board. Start cover bolt threads by hand then torque all cover
bolts to 25-30 ft. lbs.
