Check valve seat run out on any automobile, truck, motorcycle,
snowmobile or outboard engine with this jeweled bearing indicator.
Most engine valve seat runout specifications require accuracy within
.001".
Instructions for use
1. Insert pilot into valve guide and secure in place.
2. Loosen probe clamp by turning the knurled nut.
3. Place the gage on the pilot.
4. Position the probe to contact the valve seat making sure that the
indicator is not at its full travel.
5. Tighten the probe clamp.
6. Adjust the indicator to zero by rotating the bezel.
7. While maintaining a small amount of gauging pressure, rotate the
gauge observing the indicator readings.
8. Consult the appropriate specifications to determine if seat run out
is acceptable.
