INTENdEd uSE

The machine is intended for cutting, roughing
and brushing metal and stone materials without
using water. For cutting metal, a special
protection guard for cutting (accessory) must be
used.
1. AdjuSTAbLE AuxILIAry hANdLE (See
Fig A)
You have the option of
two working positions to
provide the safest and
most comfortable control
of your angle grinder.
The handle is screwed
clockwise into either hole on the sides of the
gear case.
2. GuArd AdjuSTMENT
Adjust the guard to
protect your hands and
direct grinding debris.
Loosen the clamp lever
(see Fig B). Position the
guard at the required
angle. Then tighten the
clamp lever.
If the guard is still loose
when the clamp lever
is tightened, loosen the
clamp lever, and screw
down the nut on the guard (see Fig c), then
tighten the clamp lever again, until the guard
secured will not move.
3. FITTING ThE dISCS (See Figd1 Figd2 and
Figd3)
Put the inner flange (10)
onto the tool spindle.
Ensure it is located on
the two flats of spindle
(see Fig D1).
Place the disc on the
tool spindle and inner flange (10). Ensure it is
correctly located. Fit the threaded outer flange
(9) making sure it is facing in the correct direction
for the type of disc fitted. For grinding discs,
the flange is fitted with the raised portion facing
34
towards the disc. For
cutting discs, the flange is
fitted with the inner portion
facing towards the disc
(see Fig D2).
Press in the spindle lock
button and rotate the
spindle by hand until it is
locked. Keeping the lock
button pressed in, tighten
the outer flange (9) with
the spanner provided.
(See Fig D3)
4. SAFETy ON / OFF
SWITCh (See Fig E)
Your switch is locked
off to prevent accidental
starting. With your hand
on the on/off switch (4)
A
use your finger to slide
lever (5) forward and
then depress on/off
switch (4). Then release lever (5). Your tool is
now on. To switch off just release on/off switch.

5. VArIAbLE SpEEd CONTrOL

Adjust the thumb-wheel to increase or decrease
the speed according to the material, material
thickness and disc/accessory specification to be
used (also possible during no load operation).
b
See Table 1 for general guidance on speed
selection. Avoid prolonged use at very low
speeds as this may damage your angle grinder's
motor.
